Compliance Operations, Regulatory Operations, under Consumer and Community Banking Operations, supports the firm by providing operational support for the enforcement, adherence, and compliance of KYC/CIP standards. We service Retail, Commercial and Small business banking customers.

Position Summary

 

The primary responsibility of the Client Data Manager I (KYC Day-2 & FCOI) is to oversee a large team of Client Data & Investigations Specialists. The  Client Data Manager II must have excellent customer service standards to define, analyze, and resolve customer inquiries and escalations and must be able to closely manage day to day operations of the department. The Associate will:

  • Provide guidance, coaching, development, and leadership
  • Oversee staff training and performance reviews
  • Participate in the selection, promotion, and performance management of staff as required
  • Focus on meeting daily productivity, quality and operational related goals

Key Responsibilities

  • Manages a team of ~65 members with 4 direct reports (Operations Team Leader) & the remaining reporting to his/her DRs
  • Provide direction and guidance to the TLs on queries with regards to Cases or alerted activity, preps alerts by gathering appropriate documentation, adding subjects, subject attributes, facilities, and account information.
  • Be a Subject Matter Expert in KYC processes and suggest ideas of process improvement
  • Work /monitor all escalations on cases and work towards resolution of the same
  • Liaise with business partners/key stake holders to identify / escalate / resolve process issues / outages
  • Complete ownership of process deliverables and ensure the team meets Timeliness & Accuracy SLAs
  • Identify methods to increase Straight Through Processing by reduction of manual touch points
  • Foster Continuous Improvement culture within the team
  • Create retention strategies, employee engagement methods and early warning systems
  • Work on succession planning within the team at all levels
  • Conduct periodic Capacity Planning exercises with the team, considering current volume trends
  • Work on cost rationalization measures, efficiency opportunities, that can help the group meet its financial commitments
  • Maintain & take ownership of the BCP Plans & have the same tested on a periodic basis
  • Partner with Risk team to ensure all risks are identified and mitigated on timely basis
  • Coordinate in ER testing and system updates. Identify / Escalate outages/issues due to ER releases
  • Implementation of a documented feedback mechanism that can be monitored/assist in improving the team's overall performance
  • Interacts with key stakeholders such as Risk, Control, GFCC, Operations and other stakeholders to develop strong partnerships, escalate issues, eliminate roadblocks, and ensure continuity of flow across the groups
  • Monitor production/performance metrics & ensure the tool/report emerges as a credible basis for Specialists Evaluation
  • Consistently lead by example & effectively coach employees in a positive manner for improved results
  • Ability to follow complex methods and procedures regarding KYC Investigation process

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree with strong Banking Operations knowledge.  Accounting or Finance preferred
  • Experience in people management; demonstrated ability to develop, manage, coach, and motivate teams
  • Experience in KYC/AML/Investigations is preferred
  • Knowledge of banking products
  • Proven leader of process and organizational change
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, analyze, plan, prioritize, and solve problems, by providing viable solutions and executing
  • Exceptional research and analytical skills with the ability to analyze large amounts of data, interpret higher risk attributes (transactional, product, customer type, etc.) and develop well-reasoned recommendations
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Competent in PC based systems, with a strong proficiency in MS Office
  • Excellent problem solver
  • Ability to cope with change, comfort with ambiguity
  • 10+ years’ experience in financial services industry

 

Candidates should be flexible to work in various shifts (timings might vary according to process requirements)
