MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WORKING ONLINE OR REMOTE WITH CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGEMENT OR RELATED ROLE

Job Details:

The position of a Remote Construction Project Supervisor/Manager will be responsible for project completion from beginning to end, including maintaining the production schedule, material ordering, communication with homeowners, making sure jobs have been pulled, inventory usage, etc. You will be working in the US timezone to coordinate with Customer Service, Sales, and our installation team/personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Using an online quoting/construction management tool for material take-off, scheduling, bidding, and reporting (35%)

  1. Using the online tool (via management of scheduling + reporting/QC,) communicates with customers throughout the job to aid in understanding and satisfaction of work.
  2. Have a clear understanding of the materials budgeted for the quote and the number of man-hours needed to achieve gross margin percentage goal (GM%) .
  3. Assesses conditions of the job once on-site, plans time allotment, tools needed, and order of work determining workload for crew.
  4. Assists sales Team - Assists in the closing of new/potential projects.

2) Organize and plan the material & scheduling of installation (30%)

  1. Assigns installation and repair work jobs to crews, while updating the production schedule consistently and in a timely manner.
  2. Order all materials needed for job installation, retail orders, stock etc.
  3. Review inventory usage of job installation and overall supply order.
  4. Review job specifications with Shop Foreman, and Foreman to determine materials, tools and equipment needed for the job.
  5. Responsible for coordinating efforts with both the Shop Foreman on the staging and loading of all trucks with quoted materials, tools and equipment in a well-thought-out and efficient manner.
  6. Adjusts for conditions, makes changes from original job order as necessary, troubleshoots situations, innovates processes on the spot in order to complete the job meeting company standards and timetables.

3) Reporting, Quality Control & Help Ops/Sales/Installer Create a Plan to Address Issues (35%)

  1. Ensures company policies and procedures, as well as safety guidelines are followed.
  2. Tracks hours of installers and moves job progress to completion at a pace to ensure quality, efficiency, and profitability.
  3. Communicates with crews to ensure that customer is aware of any changes to job before making any such change and responsible for keeping the customer routinely updated on progress and timeline to finish the project.
  4. Will be responsible for making sure crew personnel are taking pictures at job sites and posting in crew along with daily updates per procedure.
  5. Review inventory sheets to ensure accuracy for completion of payroll submission.
  6. Ultimately responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction with job completion.

Requirements:

Role Requirements:

  • 5+ Years of remote construction management experience

Role Preferential:

  • 1+ related fencing or construction trades experience preferred
  • Knowledgeable/used: CompanyCam
  • Knowledgeable/used: Buildertrend, SumoQuote, mysalesman.com
  • Knowledgeable/used: , or , ArcSite

Role Exclusion:

  • Sales (will be handled by sales person) << you will provide all the needed information and answer any questions to close on sale
  • Customer service (will be handled by CS) << you will need to take their feedback and address/coordinate with the installer to resolve issues

Education:

  • Bachelor's or equivalent

Experience:

  • 6-10 years relevant experience

Management:

  • 1-3 years experience

Scope of Control:

  • Has control over a department's work

  • The tasks can take a long time to complete.

Hardware Required:

  • This level of hardware is sufficient for more demanding tasks such as browsing multiple browser tabs, video editing, and graphic design.
  • The hardware requirements for this level are higher than the basic level, and a mid-range computer or laptop will be required.

Recruitment Process

  1. The recruitment process is all initially at your pace. We only do in-person interviews in the final step. We will initially ask yes/no & numeric questions to verify your relevant experience.
  2. We will ask you to list out your key responsibilities from your previous companies.
  3. We will then ask you to demonstrate past responsibilities to support your list of key responsibilities and success metrics.
  4. Then we will select a few applicants to do a paid trial task (we will provide actual problems/issues we face that you will try to resolve).
