Account Executive

Job Overview: Sells the container/ liner shipping services of Wallem Philippines Shipping, Inc. and/ or its principals specifically, to secure (containerized) import or export cargoes.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Identifies potential clients using shipping gazettes, trade magazines/ journals/ directories, mailing lists, and personal contacts to accommodate goals of the company compiles lists of prospective clients for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business/trade directories and other sources.
• Solicits import export cargoes for principal's vessel by travelling throughout assigned territory to do sales call on regular and prospective clients to solicit cargoes
• Entertains clients and foreign principals to establish rapport.
• Attends to foreign principals' and clients' inquiries (quote prices, etc-) provide clients with information and advice on shipping schedules /services.
• Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, volume potential, price schedule and discount rates (if applicable), and assists the Sales Manager in developing sales campaigns to accommodate goals of the company, reports on prevailing market conditions / market profile of importers and exporters.
• Prepares daily / weekly sales reports and sales matrix showing clients visited, sales volume, potential sales, competitors' rates as well as commodity and other special arrangements
• Ensures proper implementation/ continual improvement of the company's Quality Management System.

Qualifications:

• Graduate a 4-year college/ university, preferably with a degree in Marketing or Business Administration: or two to four years related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
• Facility in oral and written communication.
• Employee is frequently exposed to outside weather condition due to sales calls/client visits.
• Must have a driver's license.
