Job Description - Area Sales Director

Our client is seeking an Area Sales Director to lead and manage sales efforts in a specific area or region. This role is pivotal in driving revenue growth, achieving sales targets, and building strong relationships with clients. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing and implementing sales strategies, monitoring performance, and providing support to the sales team to ensure overall success.

What you'll do:

As an Area Sales Director, you will be at the forefront of our client's sales efforts. You will be responsible for leading a high-performing team, developing effective strategies, identifying new business opportunities, and maintaining strong relationships with clients. Your role will involve monitoring market trends and competition, conducting regular performance evaluations, preparing detailed reports for senior management, guiding your team towards increasing deposit volumes, understanding customer needs, and ensuring that daily activities are executed properly. Your leadership skills coupled with your ability to foster a collaborative culture will be key to your success in this role.

  • Develop and implement sales strategies and action plans to achieve area-specific sales targets
  • Identify new business opportunities and potential clients within the area
  • Monitor market trends, competition, and unique client behaviour specific to the area
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to the sales team
  • Prepare and present sales reports, area performance to senior management
  • Guide the sales team in generating new business to increase deposit volume
  • Lead and manage a high-performing sales team, fostering a collaborative culture
  • Develop excellent relationships with customers, understanding their needs and providing effective solutions
  • Ensure daily sales activities are executed properly and monitored accordingly

What you bring:

The ideal Area Sales Director brings a wealth of experience from the banking industry with at least five years' experience under their belt. Has a proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets and has previously held roles such as a Branch Manager or similar leadership positions. Ability to develop effective sales strategies coupled with excellent relationship-building skills makes a strong contender for this role. Also, being adept at conducting performance evaluations and providing constructive feedback to the team.

  • Bachelor’s degree in any related field
  • At least five years’ experience in the banking industry, experience in Wealth management and corporate banking is a plus
  • Strong track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
  • Proven experience as a Branch Manager or similar sales leadership role
  • Ability to develop effective sales strategies and action plans
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with clients
  • Excellent written, communication, and interpersonal skills
