Data Scientist (Intermediate Level)

This is for direct hiring and for a role. We are looking for a Data Scientist who will support our product, sales, leadership and branding teams with insights gained from analyzing company data. Job Requirements:

• Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or another quantitative field
• Experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SLQ, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
• Experience manipulating data sets and constructing statistical models
• Familiarity with coding languages: C, C++, Java, JavaScript, etc.
• Knowledge of statistical and data mining techniques: GLM/Regression, Random Forest, Boosting, Trees, text mining, social network analysis, etc.
• Proficiency in querying databases and utilizing statistical computer languages: R, Python, SQL, etc.
• Experience with web services: Redshift, S3, Spark, Digital Ocean, etc.
• Proficiency in creating and implementing advanced machine learning algorithms and statistical methods: regression, simulation, scenario analysis, modeling, clustering, decision trees, neural networks, etc.
• Ability to analyze data from third-party providers: Google Analytics, Site Catalyst, Core metrics, Adwords, Crimson Hexagon, Facebook Insights, etc.
• Familiarity with distributed data/computing tools: Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Gurobi, MySQL, etc.
• Experience in data visualization and presentation for stakeholders using tools such as Periscope, Business Objects, D3, ggplot, etc.
• Experience working with and creating data architectures.
• Strong problem solving skills with an emphasis on product development.
