Our client is a manufacturer of semiconductor equipment, offering a range of products and services. The company specializes in providing semiconductor test and inspection handlers, micro-electromechanical system (MEMS) test modules, semiconductor automated test equipment, test subcontractors, and thermal subsystems. Their product line extends to encompass test handling systems, PCB test systems, inspection and metrology tools, data analytics solutions, interface products, as well as spare parts and kits tailored for the semiconductor industry.

Catering to diverse markets, including automotive, computing and network, consumer electronics, mobility, industrial and medical sectors, IoT/IoV (Internet of Things/Internet of Vehicles), and optoelectronics, the company has established a significant business presence in North America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region.

Position Summary:

The General Manager, Philippines Factory will report to the VP Global Operations and Supply Chain and play a key role leading the overall operation in Calamba. This position will be filled by an individual with exceptional drive and energy, demonstrating strong strategic, operational, and leadership skills, and has experience in high precision manufacturing environment.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities

• Develops the overall Factory Operations plan: annual budget, product and operating cost targets, resource planning, and production schedules to satisfy business objectives.
• In conjunction with VP Operations, and Business Unit General Manager, establishes and monitors strategic plans consistent with the overall corporate growth and profitability objectives. Directs, manages, and optimizes the factory’s overall operations and financial performance commensurate with the best interest of shareholders, customers, employees and suppliers.
• Ensures manufacturing capabilities meet or exceed industry and customer requirements for cost, quality, and lead-time.
• Manages and facilitates new business development and customers' needs by working closely with sales and Business Unit Engineering.
• Responsible for overall management of the Factory sites supporting and acting as the Registered Agent for the legal entity in the Philippines.
• Drives organization behavior and attitude towards customer satisfaction and works with the site and corporate Quality functions to establish and enforce control plans to deliver quality products that meet or exceed customer expectations, in line with the company's global Quality objectives.
• Leads the organization toward a culture of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing while coordinating alignment and documenting efficient and effective business processes.
• Implement strategies to enhance productivity, minimize downtime, reduce production costs, and ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
• Provides strong leadership, mentorship, and operational management to your team and staff, fostering a positive and motivated work environment.
• Sets tone and leadership example for all employees through ethical behavior and support of corporate business conduct standards, establishing clear expectations and accountability.

Requirements And Qualifications :

Essential Skills

• Must have experience in managing a high precision machine shop, a working knowledge in CNC machining.
• Technical background is highly preferred, being able to fully understand factory capabilities and engage with the Business Unit during product development.
• Demonstrated track record in Manufacturing and knowledgeable in production planning, factory optimization, and a track record for improving utilization and efficiency.
• Able to present information, synthesize conclusion and support decisions based on data and facts.
• Must be extremely proficient at working with a global management team. Requires solid communication, relationship development and excellent judgment.
• Ability to manage conflicting schedules and priorities.
• Strong control mindset, conviction, and ability to influence others, drive control processes and build a sound working environment.

Education and Experience

• At least 10 years of experience in a similar role.
• Global company experience required, manufacturing experience in high precision CNC machining environment highly desirable.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering discipline is required. Advanced technical degree or MBA is preferred but not required.
