ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1) Responsibility for respective GL (Entities) & monthly close:
- Raise and approve all ICO transactions for respective entities
- Act as main contact for ICO transactions related to respective entities
- Process all accounting entries in the General Ledger for USGAAP and Local GAAP accounting
- Work closely with FP&A and Corporate to ensure accuracy of monthly SG&A activities
- Prepare monthly reconciliations packs and Flux analysis for Financial Controller review
2) Support monthly reporting process for respective entities.
3) Cash Forecast: Prepare weekly cash forecast and analyze variance (actual Vs Forecast).
4) Financial reporting:- Control review and documentation of monthly financial close process, maintenance and control of GL procedure documents and close schedules
- Responsible for rigorously planning and controlling GL tasks to achieve demanding internal US-lead reporting deadlines
- Continuous improvement of the quality of financial reporting - both internal and external
- Ongoing support and liaison with other GL’s to ensure consistency of best practices and knowledge sharing
5) Local statutory and tax audit:
- To support local statutory reporting, external and internal audits to ensure timely filings of local financial statements and Tax returns for respective European entities
6) Payroll:
- To support monthly payroll process, to ensure accuracy of information and compliance with local legislation
- To work with HR and Controllers on improvements of payroll processes for respective entities
7) OPEX:- Ensure month end purchase cut-off (month end accruals, open Po follow up) in relation with AP.
- Prepare Finance Opex budget follow-up for Financial Controller review
- Insure GL entries are correctly coded from an analytical point of view and proposed needed reclassifications.
8) Financial Control
- Responsibility for the proactive recognition and resolution of financial control issues
- Procedural reviews – work with Financial Controller to continuously improve controls and processes, and comply with corporate requirements
9) Participate in Oracle process improvement for respective Legal entities
10) Support Financial controller in various projects
11) Act as a back-up for other finance functions as requested by Financial Controller.
RELATED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Minimum requirements:
- Degree in Accounting or professional qualification or equivalent
- Accounting experience of at least 5 years
- Knowledge of US GAAP and Italian GAAP welcome
- ERP experience – specifically Oracle an advantage
- Good command of excel
- Proactive, flexible, attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with cross-functional and multi-national teams
Preferred requirements:
- 3 years Audit/Accounting firm experienced
- 5 to 10 years experienced
