Azure Solution Architect

Job Description:

As an AWS/AZURE Solutions Architect, your role will have a blend of presales and delivery responsibilities. You will leverage your technical expertise and experience to help our clients understand and achieve the potential of AWS/AZURE solutions, propose tailored solutions, and ensure the successful delivery of these solutions.

Responsibilities: 

1. Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements, provide sales support, and design AWS/AZURE solutions that meet the needs of our clients. 
2. Guide clients through their cloud journey, from on-premises to AWS/AZURE cloud migrations as well as cloud-to-cloud migrations.
3. Ensure proposed solutions adhere to compliance, security standards, and network configurations. 
4. Present and articulate the features and benefits of AWS/AZURE solutions to clients. 
5. Respond to RFPs, ensuring that responses are comprehensive, accurate, and aligned with company capabilities. 
6. Act as a technical point of contact during the presales stage, answering technical queries and providing advice and support. 
7. Oversee the delivery of proposed solutions, ensuring successful implementation and client satisfaction. 
8. Work closely with the delivery team, providing architectural guidance and resolving technical issues. 
9. Continually enhance your technical expertise and knowledge of AWS/AZURE services and technologies. 

Required Skills and Experience: 

1. Minimum 8+ years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on AWS/AZURE technologies. 
2. Proven experience with on-premises to AWS/AZURE cloud migrations and cloud-to-cloud migrations. 
3. Deep understanding and experience with cloud security best practices and network configurations. 
4. Industry certification focused on specialist Solution area (AWS/AZURE / Kubernetes). 
5. Experience in designing and implementing Hybrid Cloud solution projects involving implementing Private/Hybrid Clouds. 
6. Excellent knowledge of CI/CD concepts and tools such as GitLab. 
7. In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in Windows Server, Linux, Redhat, CentOS, DNS, LDAP, TCP/IP, and other network protocols. 
8. Experience with configuration management tools like Puppet and Ansible. 
9. Experience developing and deploying Infrastructure as Code (IaC) such as Terraform / CloudFormation. 
10. Familiarity with containers (Openshift, Kubernetes, Docker etc.) 
11. Knowledge of one or more scripting languages (bash, Powershell, Python). 
12. Knowledge of cloud monitoring and alerting services and capabilities. 
13. AWS/AZURE Certified Solutions Architect Professional or AWS/AZURE Certified DevOps Engineer Professional certification. 
14. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to identify issues, solve them quickly and well, and know when to rely on internal resources to assist.
