Backend Developer (Adobe Experience Manager)

This role focuses on delivering robust backend solutions that enhance AEM (Adobe Experience Manager) applications' overall functionality and user experience. It demands a blend of technical proficiency and team collaboration; cross-functional collaboration is vital to our team's success.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Implement, maintain, and enhance Adobe Experience Manager as a Cloud Service (AEM) application, focusing on backend components and integrations.
  • Design and develop scalable, secure, high-performance solutions using AEM and related technologies such as Java, Apache Sling, OSGi (Apache Felix), and JCR (Jackrabbit Oak).
  • Create and manage custom AEM components and workflows for content management solutions tailored to business needs.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers and other team members to integrate APIs and web services.
  • Perform code reviews, ensuring best practices and adherence to industry standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AEM implementation and performance.
  • Assist in the migration and upgrading of AEM instances across versions.
  • Optimize application performance through profiling and tuning.
  • Document development processes, code changes, and other necessary technical information.
  • Participate in Agile development cycles and project planning.

Job Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in backend development with AEM.
  • Proven track record of developing high-quality software solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Java and experience with the AEM Platform.
  • Knowledge of Apache Sling, OSGi, and Java Content Repository (JCR).
  • Understanding of RESTful web services and API integration.
  • Experience with version control systems, such as Git/Github.
  • Experience with Workflow scripting and ECMA script
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Amenable to work following the US Shift (8 PM - 5 AM PHT) on a hybrid work set-up
  • Has a stable internet connection of at least 25 mbps

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with cloud services such as AWS or Azure.
  • Previous work with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
