Cost Engineer

1. To produce functional, effective, and aesthetically-pleasing products.
2. Create sketches, feasibility models, and prototypes to validate product concepts or evaluate product assessment.
3. Create shop drawings through Autocad
4. Communicate product and schedule information on a timely and regular basis
5. Develop proof of concept prototypes
6. Do cost estimation.
7. Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time, materials, and labor expenses
8. Do Material Sourcing for costing purposes.
9. Read blueprints and technical documents in order to prepare estimates
10. Collaborate with client designers and Account Manager/s.
11. Evaluate a product’s cost-effectiveness or profitability
12. Recommend ways to make a product more cost-effective or profitable
13. Work with sales teams to prepare estimates and bids for clients
14. Develop project plans for the duration of the project
