What is this role about?
The role is responsible for overseeing the implementation and maintenance of security measures to protect the company's digital assets and sensitive information.

• What will YOU do?
• Ensure the effective implementation of cybersecurity measures Coordinate with IT teams to deploy and maintain firewalls, antivirus software, encryption protocols, and other security technologies
• Develop and enforce comprehensive security policies and procedures
• Draft and update policies regarding data access, incident response, password management, and regulatory compliance
• Monitor the evolving threat landscape and assess potential risks
• Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to identify and address vulnerabilities in the system
• Manage and lead incident response teams in handling security breaches Develop incident response plans, conduct drills, and provide training to ensure swift and effective response to security incidents
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into business processes
• Work closely with software development, legal, compliance, and HR departments to embed security into product development, legal compliance, and employee training programs
• Conduct regular training sessions, workshops, and awareness campaigns to promote a culture of security awareness among employees
• Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity technologies and trends
• Attend conferences, participate in professional development programs, and network with peers to stay abreast of the latest advancements in cybersecurity
  

What will YOU need?

• Relevant professional experience in cybersecurity management and in leading cybersecurity teams and managing security operations effectively
• Proficiency in conducting risk assessments, developing risk management strategies, and implementing controls to mitigate cybersecurity risks
• Knowledge of industry-specific regulations, standards, and best practices relevant to the organization's sector (e.g., healthcare, finance, government).
• Experience with regulatory compliance frameworks such as GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS, and knowledge of their implications for organizational cybersecurity practices
• In-depth understanding of cybersecurity technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, encryption, SIEM, and endpoint security solutions
• Ability to develop and execute strategic cybersecurity initiatives aligned with organizational goals and risk tolerance
• Proficiency in project management methodologies to plan, execute, and monitor cybersecurity projects within scope, budget, and timeline constraints
