About the Role: 

Reporting to the General Manager Finance, this role will directly support and manage the end-to-end finance function with the support of experienced Finance Managers and Financial Accountants. The position combines the key elements of financial governance and end to end financial management with management reporting and ad hoc analysis across the group (currently operating in Australia, New Zealand, UK, Philippines, and India) 

This role is a fantastic opportunity for a CPA/CA qualified professional with strong people management skill to work in a continually evolving and fast paced environment. 

Responsibilities:

• Developing solid in-depth understanding of all systems & procedures to effectively manage finance and support cross-functional departments and peers. Planit has in place the “Best Of Breed” systems of, Oracle Fusion, Salesforce, Power BI and DocuSign Contract Management System.
• Responsible for ensuring all monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reporting to Group and Parent Oversees Entity is reviewed and completed on time- Experience with consolidation is essential
• Leading a team and jointly managing the Billing, AR, and AP function, organizing work to be delivered on time to a strict deadline
• Mentoring and supporting the team to ensure the team are all motived and working collaboratively.
• Managing financial accounting for multiple entities– (Control over the general ledger entries, reconciliations, producing monthly financial results, preparation of tax returns – BAS, FBT, Payroll tax and R&D, implementation of new accounting standards) 
• Ensuring regulatory requirements and statutory compliance are met across responsible entities and management companies 
• Ensuring that the general ledger is maintained and reconciled monthly, and all interfacing systems are posted to the general ledger correctly.
• Management of monthly cashflow reporting 
• Developing and implementing process improvements and internal controls.
• Building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships internally and externally. 
• Overseeing and ensuring robust reporting processes are in place, then work with other accountants, Finance Managers, and the GM Commercial to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Oversee the quarterly and yearly group external audit and ensuring all adheres to strict deadline
• Lead the review and evaluation of internal controls, identifying gaps, and implementing necessary improvements.
• Oversee the group tax compliance – having a global tax experience is advantageous
• Other ad-hoc tasks as required

Essential Skills and Requirements:

• CA or CPA qualified
• Previous experience as a Financial Controller or Finance Manager looking to step up into a Financial Controller role with a highly technical background
• 7+ years’ accounting experience, preferably in a global organization
• Global tax experience/exposure is advantageous
• Very good systems knowledge of current Oracle Fusion application. 
• People leadership experience is essential
• Continuously looks for opportunity to simplify and improve work systems and processes to achieve high efficiency
• Strong core accounting skills including customer credit management, financial statement, tax preparation & statutory reporting experience 
• Advance knowledge and experience with Microsoft Suite products with high level competency in Excel 
• Great analytical & problem-solving skills, highly organized, and results orientated. 
• Ability to prioritise and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to get into transaction processing to understanding processes. 
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal and an ability to work with stakeholders at all levels
