Description: Key Accountabilities * Frontend Development: Spearhead the development of responsive, dynamic web applications using Umbraco as the CMS, ensuring a seamless, engaging user experience across all devices.
* Performance Optimization: Implement speed optimization techniques to ensure our web applications are lightning-fast, reducing load times and enhancing user engagement.
* SEO and Localization: Apply best practices in SEO and localization to maximize our web presence and ensure our content is accessible to a global audience.
* Accessibility: Champion accessibility by adhering to WCAG guidelines, making sure our websites are usable for people with a wide range of disabilities.
* Dynamic Content Generation: Develop web pages that dynamically generate content and interfaces, providing personalized experiences for our users.
* API Integration: Seamlessly integrate third-party services and APIs to enrich our web applications with dynamic data and functionalities.
* Design Systems and Reusable Components: Utilize and contribute to the development of design systems, ensuring consistency across the brand while building reusable components to streamline development and maintain high-quality standards.
* Collaboration and Innovation: Work closely with the design and backend teams to translate visual concepts into functional online experiences, bringing innovative ideas to the table.
* Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure high-quality deployments, with a keen eye for detail in all aspects of frontend development.
* Adhoc Innovation: Tackle development, enhancement, and maintenance of systems and technologies as needed by the business.

Skills and Experiences: Position Requirements * Proven Experience: Solid experience in frontend web development, with a strong portfolio showcasing responsive designs, dynamic content generation, and the use of design systems.
* Umbraco Expertise: Demonstrable experience with Umbraco CMS, understanding its architecture and how to leverage it for content-driven websites.
* Tech Stack Proficiency: Proficient in HTML5, CSS3 (including pre-processors), JavaScript (ES6+). Experience with frameworks/libraries such as React considered a plus.
* Performance and SEO: Deep understanding of web performance optimization techniques, SEO principles, and how they impact frontend development.
* Localization and Accessibility: Experience with implementing localization strategies for global audiences and ensuring web accessibility standards (WCAG) are met.
* API Savvy: Experience with consuming RESTful services and APIs, understanding how to integrate them seamlessly into the frontend.
* Design Systems: Strong experience in building and using design systems and reusable components, ensuring a consistent and efficient development process.
* Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug and resolve complex issues in the frontend ecosystem.
* Communication: Excellent communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Special Considerations for this role * All appointments are subject to gaining appropriate pre-employment clearances and an ability to retain these clearances throughout the period of employment or engagement.
* Preparedness to work some out of hours when required.
* All employees are required to be on site, five days a week.
