Job Description - Legal Assistant

We are urgently recruiting for a Legal Assistant to join a telecommunication company. The Legal Counsel will be responsible for supporting our legal department with various tasks, including legal due diligence, document preparation, and research. This role requires excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.

 

Salary: Up to 40,000

Location: BGC. Taguig City

Work Setup: Onsite

Shift Schedule: Day Shift

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct due diligence on sites the company intends to acquire. 

  • Assist in the preparation, review, and drafting of legal documents (e.g., Contract of Lease); review and amend Contracts of Lease for existing sites.

  • Perform title searches and examinations to verify property ownership, liens, encumbrances, and other pertinent information. 

  • Assist in negotiations concerning legal aspects of the Contract of Lease. 

  • Conduct research, investigate facts, and develop legal arguments. Keep abreast of changes in the legal framework and provide timely updates.

  • Organize and archive documents managed by the legal department. 

  • Assist attorneys and paralegals with various tasks, including trial preparation, organizing materials, managing administrative duties like filing and copying documents, ensuring compliance with legal procedures, and reviewing documents for accuracy and completeness.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience working as a paralegal in a law firm, telecommunications company, or real estate development company.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Sound judgment and decision-making abilities, with a focus on practical solutions.

  • Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and legal procedures.

  • Time management skills can handle pressure and show willingness to address concerns of internal stakeholders.
