SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Involvement in determining the development work required and implementing the changes in DIMS accordingly
• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications
• Translating business requirements into a technical solution
• Making database structural changes
• Troubleshoot and debug software issues, identifying and implementing effective solutions.
• Maintaining and supporting the core application
• Maintaining and supporting infrastructure on a case-by-case basis
• Maintaining and supporting the front end of the application
• Creating and modifying API handlers
• Using a source control system
• Performing unit testing and managing user acceptance testing with the user base
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and scalability.
• Deploying changes into the UAT and production environments
• Implement and enhance existing software systems to meet business needs, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Creating required supporting documentation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business process manager, project manager, and head of technology as required
• Keep up to date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in software development, and apply them to improve existing systems and processes.
• Provide support to business users on technical and application issues
• Will have some BAU Support tasks and will be part of the Tech team roster SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years experience required
• Proven experience as a Software Developer, with a strong focus on C# and .NET development.
• Proficiency in C#, .NET // Html, JavaScript // SQL.
• Preferred skills in MVC(ASP.NET) , Razor // JQuery, Ajax, CSS // SQL Server, DDL, Transact-SQL // Json, OAuth 2.0, ReactJS
• Cloud computing (AWS/AZURE) experience preferred but not required
• Proven relevant experience in the required technical fields
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Familiarity with insurance industry concepts and systems is a plus.
