Job Description



AECOM  is seeking an UX Designer  to be based in Manila, Philippines

  • Meet with clients to gather information about their requirements
  • Propose and sketch out a range of visual concepts both on paper and using software applications
  • Create user personas, user journeys, and site maps
  • Translate concepts into wireframes, prototypes, and user flows using specialist tools from the Adobe product suite (other solutions may also be suitable)Work on cross-platform applications to develop user experiences covering mobile phones, tablets and computers
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the team, such as our Operation and Technical Leads and Junior Developers
  • Liaise regularly with clients to ensure that designs meet their requirements and core business objectives
  • Attend meetings to discuss and review progress on the project
  • Run workshops for clients (Internal stakeholders and External clients)
  • Plan and conduct remote and (or) on-site user research and usability testing with real users to ensure the end-product design provides users with the optimum experience in terms of efficiency, effectiveness, and engagement
  • Write reports and communicate the results of the work
  • Keep up to date with technological innovations and new tools
  • Escalate issues and recommend resolutions to the Team Lead for timely. May support junior members of the team in addressing routine issues within the assigned processes.
  • Maintain the SOP/DTP of current processes and incorporate documentation updates as required.
  • Perform moderately complex tasks in compliance with service level agreement, process, policies, and procedures.
  • Propose alternatives in identified issues and assist in investigating and in resolving common and unusual issues.
  • Contribute to various and simultaneous process improvement initiatives to streamline processes, improve customer experience, and increase productivity.
  • Contribute specialized expertise to different assigned projects and may provide key updates to Team Lead and Manager.

Qualifications



MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Digital Design or Media
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in UX Design with keen interest in web and applications design
  • Experience in visual design (UI design, working with/extending a Design System, etc)
  • Proficient in using design software (e.g. Figma, Adobe)
  • Ability to learn new software and technologies quickly
  • Have a keen interest and willingness to learn specialist programs
  • A strong portfolio of successful projects
  • Has knowledge of methodologies e.g. user-centered design
  • Have an interest in, and knowledge of, coding and design principles
  • An aptitude for using a logical, step-by-step approach to ensure designs are user friendly and simple for end users
  • High level of concentration and resilience to stay focused on a project to the end and meet client deadlines
  • An open, flexible and adaptable mindset to cope with a rapidly changing set of tasks in an area of emerging, new technologies
  • A willingness to keep up to date with software applications and new techniques in a rapidly changing profession.

QUALIFICATIONS

:

  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate within a varied audience and internal and external customers (Communication)
  • Ability to maintain good customer relationship with the ability to suggest ways to improve customer support customer experience; empathy with the customer to ensure that high quality end user designs meet customer requirements (Customer Service)
  • Ability to be thorough and meticulous in completing assigned tasks and identifying errors, duplicates, & discrepancies through defined methods. (Attention to Detail)
  • Ability to identify and resolve simple to moderate with the ability to provide resolution alternatives by following defined policies and procedures. (Problem Solving)
