We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Healthcare Administrative Assistant to support our healthcare operations. This role involves patient communication, coordination with insurance providers, and administrative accuracy in a low-volume environment. .
💼 Key Responsibilities
Schedule and manage patient appointments Answer inbound calls and return missed calls (volume may vary) Contact insurance carriers to follow up on claims and documentation Follow provided scripts for patient and insurance interactions Document all communications clearly and accurately Review claim forms for completeness and accuracy Use Excel to track patient visits, claim submissions, and payment status
🧠 Required Skills & Experience
1–2 years of experience in healthcare administration or similar roles (medical scheduling preferred) Experience in medical billing, claims processing, or insurance verification Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems (TherapyNotes is a plus) Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel Strong English communication skills (spoken and written) Experience following up on insurance denials High attention to detail and strong analytical thinking Professional and clear communicator Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Understanding of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
