Accountant

We are seeking a part‑qualified accountant with strong hands‑on experience within the international reporting environment (FRS framework). The ideal candidate will bring practical expertise across Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), with some exposure to payroll processing. This role requires strong attention to detail, solid analytical skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

• Process supplier invoices, payments, and reconciliations.


• Manage employee expense processing for Ireland/UK/Poland.


• Oversee customer invoicing, aged debt reporting, and credit control.


• Work closely with the Client Funds Accounts Receivable function.

General Ledger and Month-End Closing

• Post journals and maintain accurate general ledger records.


• Support month-end and year-end close activities, including reconciliations and accruals.

Bank Reconciliations

• Perform weekly and monthly bank reconciliations.


• Manage reconciliations across multiple accounts, including commercial bank accounts and client fund accounts.

Financial Reporting

• Assist with preparation of management reports, cost and variance analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations.


• Support the preparation of statutory accounts in line with the FRS framework.

Payroll (with Senior Support)

• Support payroll processing


• Ensure payroll transactions are accurately recorded in the accounting system.

Compliance & Controls

• Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and procedures.


• Support internal and external audit processes and provide required documentation.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, SKWP, or equivalent)


• Fluent in Polish and English (required).

Experience

• Fluent Polish and English a must


• Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience.


• Strong working knowledge of FRS standards


• Proven experience in AR/AP/GL and financial reporting.


• Exposure to payroll processes is highly desirable.

Skills

• Advanced Excel skills.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional language skills are an advantage given the international nature of the role.


• Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail.
