AI Security Engineer

Overview: 

The person in this role demonstrates a high level of professionalism, prioritizing the management and successful delivery of moderately complex AI security projects. This role will actively contribute to defining and implementing the necessary guardrails for AI usage across Bunge, and ensure our IT platforms are robust and ready for the future AI environment. Responsibilities include providing leadership to AI security professionals, contributing to resource and policy development, and addressing complex security challenges within Bunge's AI environment.

Main Accountabilities:

• Lead and manage significant operational plans and large-scale AI security projects and initiatives with substantial independence, contributing to their successful execution and strategic alignment, including playing a key role in developing and enforcing AI usage guardrails.


• Provide leadership and guidance to a team of AI security professionals and support staff, supporting their growth and ensuring their effective contribution to securing AI systems.


• Hold accountability for the successful results of large and/or moderately complex AI security projects, ensuring objectives are met within established parameters, and actively contributing to the readiness of Bunge's IT platforms for future AI integration.


• Contribute valuable input on resource planning and the development of security policies specifically tailored for AI/ML systems, ensuring these policies incorporate the established guardrails for AI use and consider future IT landscape requirements.


• Develop strategic plans and roadmaps for AI security within the Cyber Security department, recognized as an internal expert whose contributions have significant organizational impact.


• Contribute to the short to mid-term (1-3 years) talent optimization plans within the AI security domain, helping to execute on strategic objectives for talent growth and development.

Education and Experience:

• In-depth knowledge of AI/ML security principles, frameworks (e.g., NIST AI RMF, OWASP ML Top 10), and best practices.


• Bachelor's degree is required, with a Master's preferred.


• 6 to 10 years, or an equivalent combination of education and experience


• Strong understanding of machine learning model vulnerabilities, data poisoning, adversarial attacks, and privacy-preserving ML techniques.


• Proficiency in cloud security principles and architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP) as they apply to AI workloads.


• Experience with security architecture, threat modeling, and risk assessment specifically for AI systems.


• Knowledge of data governance, privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and ethical AI principles.


• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
