About the Role

We're looking for a Quality Engineering Lead to define and drive our automation testing strategy across a large-scale digital transformation program.

This is a greenfield leadership role where you'll build scalable automation frameworks, establish quality engineering standards, and ensure reliable releases across mobile applications, Salesforce, integration platforms, core banking systems, and cloud-native services.

Working closely with Engineering, Architecture, Product, and Delivery teams, you'll embed quality into every stage of the software development lifecycle

What You'll Do

Build Modern Test Automation:

• Design automation solutions for web, mobile, APIs and backend services.
  


• Establish API-first testing practices across distributed systems.


• Drive contract testing and integration testing for service-oriented architecture.


• Introduce performance, resilience and non-functional testing where appropriate.


• Improve CI/CD pipelines with reliable automated quality gates.
  

Lead Quality Across Multiple Domains

• Mobile applications (iOS & Android)
  


• Salesforce platform


• MuleSoft integrations


• Cloud microservices


• Core Banking platforms


• Internal operational systems

Leadership

• Lead and mentor QA Automation Engineers.


• Establish engineering standards and code review practices.


• Hire, coach and develop high-performing QA talent.


• Partner with Engineering Managers and Architects on technical direction.


• Champion engineering excellence across delivery teams.

Quality Metrics & Engineering Excellence

• Define and track quality KPIs: defect escape rate, automation coverage, mean time to detect


• Report quality posture to the engineering leadership


• Run risk-based testing prioritization for releases, including core banking change cycles

Requirements

Must Have

• 5+ years in QA/test automation, with at least 2 years in a lead or architect role


• Proven experience designing AQA frameworks from scratch across multiple domains


• Strong API testing skills (REST, SOAP, GraphQL, event-based) — this is the backbone of every domain listed


• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or equivalent)


• Hands-on with mobile test automation (Appium, XCUITest, Espresso, or similar)


• Experience testing Salesforce (at least one of: Apex tests, Provar, Copado Robotic Testing)


• Integration/middleware testing experience (MuleSoft, or comparable ESB/iPaaS)


• Strong scripting in at least one of: Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript

Nice to have

• Experience in banking, fintech, or other regulated financial services


• Core banking system testing 


• Contract testing 


• Performance/load testing 


• Experience with test observability tooling 


• Familiarity with BDD and working with business analysts on acceptance criteria

Leadership & Soft Skills

• Ability to build a QA roadmap and defend it to senior stakeholders


• Experience hiring and growing QA engineers


• Strong written and verbal communication
