Business Analyst for Technology and Innovation within Group Procurement in DFDS

As our Business Analyst you get the unique opportunity to be a key player in further developing the department and our business. We are looking for a person who enjoys evaluating past and current business data with the primary goal of providing recommendations and strategic/tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge, and hereby improving decision-making processes within Procurement.

The right candidates will be supporting the execution of a strategic vision in T&I Procurement area, in collaboration with Head of Department, Sourcing Lead and stakeholders across the business. Technology & Innovation (T&I) procurement covers multiple sub-categories such as Hardware & Infrastructure, Software, Network & Technology, IT Consultants and Cloud CI/CD. You will support all these sub-categories from Business Analyst perspective.

Your responsibilities:

You will be responsible for a wide range of analytical, tactical and administrative tasks supporting the further development of the Technology and Innovation Procurement team. You will work on data collection, data validation and analysis to build business cases, development of initiatives and monitor performance of saving projects, supplier performance and category development. You will furthermore also drive and be responsible for both sourcing and optimizations projects.

More precisely, you will:




  • Continue to develop and improve T&I procurement reporting practices, including but not limited to executive report, spend report, savings report, vendor reports, expiring agreement report, invoicing reports etc.



  • Support Head of Department with data collection and quantitative / qualitative analysis for major projects such as proposals comparison, price development, playground for negotiation etc.



  • Monitor and maintain relevant data for our procurement process, including costs, technology and markets trends.



  • Support the major tender processes and be familiar with our e-sourcing tool.



  • Store major Agreements in the contract management tool and ensure data accuracy.



  • When needed, lead selected sourcing projects (small to medium size).



  • Solve operations tasks to improve performance and create sustainable competitive advantage.

Additionally, you will support with the following:




  • Manage the sign-off process and reporting hereof for all Categories



  • When needed, provide reporting and ad hoc support to the Vice President, Group Procurement.

Furthermore, we expect you to be:




  • Educated within a relevant field with an interest of developing your skillset in tandem with increased experience.



  • At least 2 years of working experience from in relevant fields with data analysis, reporting and tools management.



  • Fast learner and capable to execute fast different complex tasks, without compromising quality and accuracy.



  • Sincere interest and passion for different IT and digital technologies.



  • An experienced user in Excel, Power Point, Power BI and ERP system.



  • Experience in procurement tools (e-sourcing, contract management) and D365 ERP is considered an advantage.



  • Some knowledge of the most common IT suppliers, cost components and IT trends is considered an advantage.



  • Some knowledge about how to use AI as a supporting tool in your day-to-day business analyst work is consider an advantage.



  • Full proficiency in English.
