Responsibilities:
Lead all accounting operations in the Polish entity, ensuring compliance with local GAAP and IFRS.
Manage and mentor the accounting team (internal and external resources), overseeing daily bookkeeping, payroll, and tax activities.
Own the preparation and submission of statutory financial statements and tax returns (VAT, CIT), ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Act as the main point of contact for external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies.
Review and validate payroll calculations, per diems, and related employee payments in collaboration with a third-party payroll provider.
Oversee and enhance month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate reporting to the global finance team.
Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management, based on data-driven analysis and reports.
Drive process improvements and automation within the accounting function, optimizing workflows and internal controls.
Ensure proper documentation and audit trails in accordance with local and international compliance requirements.
Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Legal, and global finance teams to support business growth and operational excellence.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent qualification is a strong advantage.
5+ years of experience in accounting or financial management, including at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory position.
Extensive knowledge of Polish accounting standards, tax regulations, and labor law.
Experience in working with IFRS and financial reporting in international or tech-oriented companies.
Proven track record of managing audits, financial statements, and tax inspections.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to lead teams and collaborate across departments.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting systems (NetSuite is a plus).
Strong English and Polish skills, both written and verbal.
Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and organizational skills.
