More About the Role:

As a Communications Intelligence & Insights Analyst, you will support the setup, operation and ongoing maintenance of intelligence systems and workflows across multiple clients and markets.

Working within our centralised EMEA Hub, you will execute monitoring, measurement and reporting approaches developed by market teams, ensuring that outputs are accurate, consistent and delivered efficiently. You will work across a broad communications technology ecosystem, combining data from multiple platforms to produce structured datasets, dashboards, reports and first-pass insights.

This is an execution-focused role for someone who enjoys working with data, technology and repeatable processes and who takes pride in delivering high-quality work at scale.

What you’ll do:

• Configure, maintain and optimise keyword search strings, Boolean queries, dashboards, taxonomies and reporting structures across monitoring, listening and measurement platforms, ensuring they remain accurate, current and aligned with agreed requirements and platform capabilities.


• Operate across Burson’s monitoring and measurement ecosystem, executing workflows through media monitoring platforms such as Signal AI, Meltwater, Cision, Talkwalker, Muck Rack and Brand24, and social listening tools including Brandwatch, Sprinklr, Pulsar, Quid, Sprout Social and Hootsuite.


• Work with audience data and intelligence platforms, including GWI, Morning Consult, TGI, YouGov and Kantar, combining outputs from different sources to create consistent, structured and unified datasets.


• Collect, structure, tag and validate data from multiple sources, applying consistent methodologies and completing rigorous quality assurance checks to protect the accuracy and integrity of each dataset.


• Produce clear and standardised dashboards, reports and other deliverables, providing first-pass insights into what has happened and early indications of why it may have occurred.


• Execute KPIs, measurement methodologies and reporting frameworks defined by market teams, ensuring outputs are aligned with agreed approaches and delivered consistently across clients and markets.


• Identify and resolve inconsistencies, inefficiencies and data-quality issues, while supporting the development of standardised templates, repeatable processes and more efficient ways of working.


• Contribute to the continuous development of the Hub’s delivery capability, including integration with Burson platforms and tools such as Fount, and the creation of scalable workflows that use automation, AI and technology effectively.

Experience that contributes to success:

• An interest in the public relations, media and communications landscape, with an understanding of how monitoring, social listening and measurement support communications strategy.


• Experience using media monitoring, social listening, audience intelligence or communications measurement platforms.


• Strong Boolean logic and query-building skills, with the ability to create, test and refine complex search strings.


• Experience working with structured datasets and a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.


• Familiarity with data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau would be an advantage.


• Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy, consistency and quality.


• The ability to follow defined methodologies and processes while managing repeatable workflows across multiple clients or projects.


• An organised and methodical approach, with the ability to prioritise work and deliver to agreed deadlines.


• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present data and outputs clearly.


• The ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a collaborative, centralised team.


• A proactive and curious mindset, with an interest in using AI, automation and emerging technologies to improve data processing, workflow efficiency and delivery quality.


• A willingness to learn, develop new technical capabilities and contribute ideas that strengthen the Hub’s ways of working.
