Job Description - Continuous Improvement Process Expert

This is a hybrid role. Upon agreement between you and your supervisor, you are entitled to a flexible arrangement where you will be able to split your time between working from the office and working remotely.

About the Role:

Continuous Improvement Process Expert plays a hands-on role in supporting operational excellence across the GBS organization, with a strong focus on Finance processes (ITP, O2C, R2R, STR). Additional functions could be in scope as the organization evolves.

This role is focused on identifying and resolving Finance transactional and process-related issues, working closely with operational teams to understand root causes, improving process efficiency, and ensure compliance within a regulated environment.

This position requires a detail-oriented approach, active stakeholder engagement, and the ability to work closely with Finance teams on day-to-day operational challenges.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and resolve process and transactional issues across Finance operations (ITP, O2C, R2R)

  • Analyze root causes of operational problems (e.g. delays, unprocessed invoices, unapplied cash, reconciliation issues)

  • Work closely with Finance teams and local stakeholders to understand processes, policies, and pain points

  • Challenge the status quo and identify opportunities for process improvements

  • Support implementation of improvements using Lean Six Sigma tools (mainly at Green Belt level)

  • Gather data, perform analysis, and provide actionable recommendations

  • Facilitate discussions with cross-functional teams to drive issue resolution

  • Support standardization and documentation of processes

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on operational efficiency cycle time reduction, cost efficiency, improving cash flow, quality, and service performance.

  • Collaborate with CI and operational teams to implement small-scale improvements and automation where possible

Requirements:

  • 5–8 years of experience in Finance Operations, Shared Services, or similar environment

  • Practical experience in Finance processes (P2P, O2C, R2R) – required

  • Exposure to Continuous Improvement / Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt preferred)

  • Experience in problem-solving within operational / transactional environments

  • Experience working with stakeholders across different countries and functions

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset

  • Experience with automation and analytics tools (e.g., RPA, Power Automate, Process Mining, Tableau, Power BI).

  • Ability to influence without authority in complex, matrixed organizations.

  • Ability to deep dive into operational processes and identify root causes

  • Good understanding of Finance processes and terminology

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders

  • Hands-on, detail-oriented approach

  • Ability to challenge existing processes and suggest improvements
