Experience that contributes to success:

• Strong experience in data engineering, including the design, development and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and platforms.


• Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python, with the ability to write clean, readable, object-oriented and concurrent code using libraries such as pandas.


• Experience working with APIs, data integrations, data transformation, relational databases and ETL or ELT processes.


• Experience designing and implementing structured automated tests in Python, including unit, integration and regression testing using pytest.


• Familiarity with cloud-based data environments, ideally Microsoft Azure, including secure object storage, Azure DevOps and managed database services.


• A strong understanding of secure coding, database firewalls and credential and secrets management tools such as Azure Key Vault.


• Experience or exposure to language-model processing, prompt-based workflows, AI-assisted data enrichment and the integration of AI into production data pipelines.


• Familiarity with Power BI project structures, multi-developer Git integration and Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or Terragrunt would be advantageous.


• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and technical-planning skills, combined with a disciplined, collaborative approach to documentation, governance, continuous improvement and the management of technical debt.
