Data Science Lead Analyst

This role involves integrating subject matter expertise and industry experience to analyze and guide data-driven decisions within a defined area. Key responsibilities include supporting data analytics projects, presenting technical insights to non-technical audiences, and collaborating across functions to achieve organizational goals. Proficiency in SQL, Python (or SAS), Excel, and PowerPoint is essential, with a strong preference for candidates with a background in mathematics, statistics, or related fields.

Responsibilities:

• Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area.

• Contributes to data analytics standards around which others will operate.

• Applies in-depth understanding of how data analytics collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function.

• Resolves occasionally complex and highly variable issues.

• Produces detailed analysis of issues where the best course of action is not evident from the information available, but actions must be recommended/ taken.

• Responsible for volume, quality, timeliness and delivery of data science projects along with short-term planning resource planning.

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of relevant experience

• Solid experience in the banking sector is a must.

• Good command of SQL and Python is a must.

• Proficiency in SAS or R would be an advantage.

• Good command of Excel and PowerPoint.

• Ability to present technical data and concepts to a non-technical audience.

• Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers

• Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics or any of the related fields is highly desirable.
