Our client is seeking an experienced Director to lead their knowledge management and succession planning function. This is a contract opportunity based in Warsaw, offering you the chance to shape how the organisation captures, manages and deploys critical business knowledge whilst building sustainable leadership pipelines. If you bring 10+ years of experience in knowledge management and succession planning, alongside strong stakeholder influence skills, this role offers significant scope to drive strategic change.


Position Overview


This Director role sits at the heart of the organisation's operational excellence and future resilience. You will establish and manage a comprehensive knowledge management framework that standardises processes across diverse systems and services, whilst simultaneously building succession plans that ensure seamless leadership transitions. The position combines strategic oversight with hands-on delivery, requiring you to develop machine-readable content for AI-driven systems, build automation capabilities, and cultivate strong partnerships with senior stakeholders to ensure knowledge management becomes embedded in how the organisation operates.


Responsibilities



  • Develop and implement a unified knowledge management strategy, deployment and maintenance framework based on industry best practices across multiple systems and service portfolios

  • Create structured succession plans with clear metrics linked to key capabilities, skills and knowledge to support leadership continuity

  • Lead the design and delivery of high-quality, machine-readable content that integrates with AI and augmented reality systems for enhanced client experiences

  • Establish standardised processes and procedures for knowledge capture, consolidation and utilisation, adapting these as needed to support operational efficiency

  • Build strong relationships with senior business partners to understand critical processes, products and services, influencing strategy and decision-making

  • Communicate the value and progress of knowledge and succession management initiatives to internal and external stakeholders

  • Develop and oversee a knowledge automation framework that enables proactive support and shift-left service delivery models


Requirements



  • 10+ years of experience in knowledge management, succession planning or related organisational development roles

  • Proven track record establishing and managing knowledge management frameworks across complex, multi-system environments

  • Strong experience developing succession plans and capability frameworks linked to business outcomes

  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and build cross-functional partnerships

  • Experience with knowledge automation, content management systems or AI-driven tools

  • Excellent project management and process design skills

  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities

  • Strategic thinking combined with strong delivery and execution capability
