Job Description - EU Operations Change Manager

Job Description

The Operations Change Manager identifies impact of any projects, initiatives, or business changes on EU Operations.

The role presents an exciting and challenging opportunity to someone who wants to work in a dynamic environment with a real opportunity to positively influence the direction and outcome of strategic projects.

The candidate must be an excellent communicator and team player because they will be working closely with project teams, management, and the SMEs within Operations. They must also have an analytical mind to discern the potential impact of changes on the company, mainly from an Operations perspective, and the efficiencies a project can create.

The functional responsibilities are to establish and enforce strong relationships across all business lines, specifically in Operations, to support business readiness, to ensure all processes are streamlined and teams are aligned to minimize the impact of change.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assess impact of project or initiative on Operations
  • Develop business readiness plan for projects and/or change initiatives.
  • Identify risks and develop risk mitigation tactics.
  • Identify and manage anticipated resistance to change.
  • Support development of communications and training efforts relevant to change initiatives.
  • Provide reports and relevant updates to management and project teams
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting internal customer relationships

Basic Qualifications

  • Good understanding of change management principles
  • Project management and planning skills.
  • Analytical mindset and critical thinking.
  • Strong organizational/ facilitation, communication, influencing, and problem-solving skills.
  • General understanding of the Cards Industry, especially the acquiring arena.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize workloads.
  • Conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
  • Positive attitude, the ability to work well with others and to meet and overcome challenges
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and be detail oriented
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Sound reasoning ability together with strong problem-solving skills and ability to know when to escalate a problem before it becomes critical
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to manage and meet expectations of senior stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of acquiring operations areas and processes.

This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.
