Job Description - Financial Compliance Manager - Gdansk


Are you looking to grow your already strong financial compliance background in a fast pace international context?  Are you perhaps looking at making a move away from operational work and apply your process knowledge and strong moral compass to a growing and ambitious global business?  If so, this could be your opportunity to join our Risk and Compliance (part of Arla Corporate Finance) as a Financial Compliance Manager in our Gdansk office.


 


How you will make an impact


Your mission as Financial Compliance Manager will be to support business stakeholders and management in ensuring the organization’s adherence to financial regulations and guidelines, mitigating compliance risks and promoting financial integrity. You will play active role in supporting fraud prevention to preserve company assets. Through your meticulous analysis and attention to detail, you will contribute to the accuracy and transparency of compliance data, safeguarding the organization's reputation and promoting trust among stakeholders.


 


Specifically, you will be involved in:



  • risk assessments across processes and countries with focus on fraud and financial reporting risks

  • ensuring risk awareness and that relevant risk response if considered when processes or business models are changed or new are developed

  • providing tools to guide functions and zones in how to effectively assess and manage risks and secure compliance

  • monitoring implementation status of agreed corrective actions, procedures and controls

  • conducting defined reviews / internal audits of processes and controls from the fraud and financial reporting risks perspective

  • driving continuous monitoring and follow up on performance of minimum compliance requirements

  • controls automation through transaction scanning and/or other digital solutions

You possess a natural passion for doing the right thing, have a strong ethical compass and demonstrate unwavering integrity in your work. You have a good understanding of financial regulations and reporting requirements, coupled with exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to ask questions. Your commitment to upholding compliance standards and ability to navigate the cross-functional matrix organization makes you an invaluable asset in ensuring Arla’s financial integrity.


 


Furthermore, you have:



  • Advanced compliance expertise from a similar position in a complex international organisation or from big-4 consulting / auditing / internal audit (minimum 6 years)

  • University degree of relevance

  • Professional certificates in accounting or auditing are a welcome enrichment of your profile

  • Strong knowledge within accounting, auditing, internal controls & financial compliance

  • The ability and appetite for influencing role in a large business where you can develop internal control systems whilst navigating organization matrix and engaging with a wide range of stakeholders

  • attention to detail and an analytical mindset comes naturally to you, along with a technical flair for new technological and digital solutions

  • Understanding of Arla control environment and toolkit is an advantage


Please note that this role requires you to be in the office 50% of the time + one additional day (monthly).
