Job Description - General Ledger Specialist

About the role


This role involves creating and maintaining process documentation, providing finance support for F&AS projects, and handling ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the Team Leader.
Attention to detail, a solid understanding of general ledger accounting, and effective collaboration skills are key attributes for success in this position.



Key responsibilities:



  • Prepare and provide standard reporting package including Balance Sheet and Profit&Loss.

  • Analyze balance sheet and P&l fluctuation.

  • Prepare and provide financial and accounting analysis, involving complex transactions and including general accounting, fixed assets, intercompany etc.

  • Calculate and post of journal entries regarding provisions, accruals, prepaid, payroll, bonus etc.

  • Execute of period end valuation and closing activities run. 

  • Assist in the annual group and statutory audits.

  • Assist in financial analysis and ad-hoc projects, as needed.

  • Provide B&S reconciliation and explain all differences. 



Requirements:



  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience

  • Degree in Accounting or other relevant field required

  • Excellent communication/documentation skills (oral and written)

  • Excellent planning and organizational skills

  • English very good, other language will be an asset
