We are looking for a General Manager Poland to build, scale, and lead our CEE business in Poland with full P&L ownership and end-to-end accountability. This is a high-autonomy leadership role for an entrepreneurial operator based in Warsaw, reporting to the CEE Managing Director, who is ready to transition Poland from a distributor-led model into a high-performing local team from day one.
Your responsibilities at waterdrop®:
Country Strategy & P&L Ownership
Own full P&L responsibility for Poland, including revenue growth, cost control and profitability
Define and execute the country strategy and annual operating plan aligned to CEE and global objectives
Translate global strategy into locally relevant initiatives across DTC, retail and partnership channels
Monitor performance and proactively course-correct where needed
Market Growth & Commercial Leadership
Drive top-line growth across e-commerce, retail and B2B channels
Prioritize and sequence growth initiatives to maximize impact
Own the local growth roadmap and investment business case
Ensure integrated execution across marketing, sales and operations
Team & Organizational Build-up
Build, lead and develop the local Polish team, initially lean and highly execution-focused
Transition key responsibilities from agencies to in-house roles over time, owning agency and partner relationships across marketing, PR, media, retail and ops in the meantime
Set clear goals, accountability standards and a strong ownership culture
Lead by example: collaborative, energizing and demanding of quality
Retail, Partnerships & Market Expansion
Oversee expansion of physical distribution, retail partnerships and B2B collaborations
Act as senior commercial negotiator for key retail and partnership relationships
Ensure strong in-store execution and local brand presence, including support for the Splash rollout and the first waterdrop® POS in Warsaw
Stakeholder Management & Governance
Act as the single senior point of contact for Poland toward CEE leadership and HQ
Provide structured performance updates, flag risks early and advocate for market-specific priorities
Ensure full compliance with Polish legal, financial and regulatory requirements, and represent waterdrop® externally with partners, media and stakeholders
Your strengths and qualifications
5 to 8 years in general management, country leadership or senior commercial roles in consumer, FMCG, retail, DTC or lifestyle brands
Proven track record owning and scaling a market or business unit in a growth or transformation context
Experience working within HQ-led or regional matrix structures; CEE exposure is a strong plus
Full P&L ownership experience with strong commercial acumen
Entrepreneurial, hands-on mindset — comfortable building without a blueprint and operating with limited infrastructure
Strong decision-maker with a bias toward action and measurable outcomes
Collaborative by nature, with excellent stakeholder management across cultures and organizational levels
Fluent in Polish and English (business level required)
