Job Description - Inside Sales Team Leader

We are currently looking for an Inside Sales Team Leader to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in executing the company’s sales strategy by combining structured sales execution, strong customer engagement, and effective cross-functional collaboration.

What you will do 

  • Lead, support, and develop an inside sales team to achieve shared goals and deliver consistent results 

  • Build deep customer experience understanding and translate insights into effective, efficient service models 

  • Drive performance through clear KPIs, structured processes, and data-driven decision-making 

  • Review sales data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement 

  • Coach and guide team members to strengthen skills and support ongoing development 

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and customer value 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective ways of working 

  • Promote a team environment focused on accountability, collaboration, and sustainable results 

Who you are 

  • You have relevant education in a commercial field or equivalent experience, along with an understanding of technical or complex products 

  • You have experience in sales or customer service, ideally in a B2B environment with exposure to phone-based and digital sales 

  • You have experience supporting or leading teams and helping others develop, ideally in a sales or customer-facing environment 

  • You demonstrate ability to drive change and continuously improve team performance 

  • You have excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence across functions  

  • You have proactive mindset with openness to change and continuous improvement in ways of working 

  • You are flluent in English; additional European language skills are considered an advantage 

  • You have experience working in or with a shared services or Global Business Services (GBS) environment, and experience or knowledge of the timber industry is considered a strong asset

Additional information 

Based in the UPM Business Hub Poland, this position operates as an integral part of the wider sales organization in UPM Timber. You will work closely with Field Sales, Order Management, and other key stakeholders to deliver on business targets and drive sustainable growth. The role focuses on value creation, disciplined sales execution, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction, while maintaining adherence to established sales processes and best practices. 

The position is located in UPM Business Hub Poland.
