Job Description - Junior Accountant for Europe

Job Description



What you will do in this role:

  • You will work with other departments in providing the information they need (like support buyers on the procurement process, employees on the expenses report, CS on customer transactions, etc.
  • Process accounting records (invoices, payments, journals entries).
  • Reconciliations (banks, Billing, Receipts, vendor/customer balances)
  • Process recurrent JEs.
  • Help Sr Accountants and team lead to prepare monthly reporting
  • Identify and implement initiatives to improve processes
  • Support other departments in providing the information they need in the field of accounting and finance. (e.g. support buyers and approvers in the Procurement process; support local finance teams providing accounting/operation information)

Qualifications



What makes you a strong fit:

  • You have a strong academic background. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics is a must. An additional Master's degree or accounting certification is preferred.
  • 2 years working in similar role (desirable but not essential)
  • Experience working on ERP finance applications. Microsoft skills (Excel is a must)
  • You want to learn, develop yourself, actively propose improvements, and you're meticulous. Like Sherlock Holmes, you are sensitive to even the smallest detail!
  • Fluent in English is a must
  • You speak B2+ in one of the following languages: Spanish, Italian or German

Logistics

The role will be based in Warsaw, Poland (hybrid position working from home 2-3 days per week).

In this role, you'll be reporting to  Anna Piusińska-Wójcik , our Accounting Hub Manager. This is a role on the Global Docplanner Team.

Process of getting to know each other (preliminary)

  • SHL assessment (a numerical reasoning assessment - standard practice for our hires)
  • 30min conversation with Ainhoa Hameeuw our Global Talent Partner
  • 1h interview with Anna Piusińska-Wójcik, your manager in this role
  • 1h interview with Christian Benedetti, our Head of Finance Operations
