Job Description - Junior Cyber Security Analyst

LOCATION - POLAND - KRAKOW

Junior Cyber Security Analyst

Taskize is one of the most influential fintechs in pre- and post-trade automation, trusted by over 550 financial firms – custodian banks, buy-sides, broker-dealers and FMIs – across 88 countries.

The web-native Taskize collaboration and workflow platform is used by investment operations teams across securities settlements, corporate actions, and collateral management. It drives operational efficiencies with tools that organise, track, and prioritise tasks, ultimately reducing risk, increasing capacity, and improving client service.

Taskize is owned by Euroclear, a leading global provider of Financial Market Infrastructure services.

The Role

This is a great opportunity for a talented, early-career applicant to join an innovative organisation with supportive and experienced colleagues and an environment conducive to “learning the ropes” and contributing across the board.

As a Junior Cyber Security Analyst, your mission is to ‘watch our back’ by continuously helping to define and improve all aspects of our environment and process security. Taskize is a remote-first organisation, so the company welcomes permanent remote working. There will be an expectation to engage physically with your department and relevant teams on occasion.

An important part of the role is to work with the rest of the organisation to improve our security measures. This includes ensuring we have the appropriate design for our cloud environment, developing our security architecture, maintaining RBAC and segregation of duties, and engaging in our security governance, risk, and compliance strategy to ensure compliance with ISO27001, SOC 2, NIST, and relevant frameworks.

The role involves many tools and facets of Cyber Security. We do not expect you to have mastered every tool or domain—what matters most is your curiosity, willingness to learn, and eagerness to grow.

You will report to the CISO as part of the Cyber Security department and will also work collaboratively with the Engineering team, contributing at relevant stages of the development lifecycle—from concept to production deployment. You’ll gain exposure to all parts of our system and have the opportunity to be mentored, learn, grow and interact with teams across the organisation.

For this role, you will be an employee of Euroclear SA, but will perform duties for Taskize, using Taskize equipment and credentials. You will functionally report to the CISO of Taskize, while formally reporting to a local manager at Euroclear SA, who is similarly set up.

Key Responsibilities

    • Triage, analyse, remediate, and escalate security incidents.

    • Manage network and application vulnerability scans against the infrastructure and support remediation.

    • Potentially carry out internal penetration tests over the Taskize platform

    • Document processes, incidents, and runbooks and maintain the incident response and vulnerability management policies.

  • Access Control

    • Maintain the relevant access of all accounts in the organisation based on RBAC and manage the relevant configurations of MFA and SSO where applicable.

    • Carry out System Administration duties as part of the Cyber Security function and act as the main point of contact for system administration and IT management activities.

  • Security Governance, Risk & Compliance

    • Contribute to the development of the Cyber Security framework.

    • Maintain security awareness initiatives and training for all staff.

    • Support the department in regulatory compliance deliverables around existing framework controls, ensuring that compliance against ISO27001 and SOC 2 is achieved.

    • Engage with client security teams to ensure compliance with required third-party risk management initiatives.

    • Support Due diligence and Third Party Risk Management for vendors.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proficient understanding of networks (TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls, Proxies).

  • Experience using a SIEM or knowledge of SIEM/SOAR operations.

  • Understanding of endpoint security - XDRs, IDS/IPS, DLP.

  • Familiarity with Mac and/or Linux systems.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – Advanced English

  • Ability to work collaboratively and follow security procedures.

  • Aptitude and enthusiasm for rapid learning and continuous improvement.
