Manager, Media Strategy

The Manager, Media Strategy is the strategic engine behind the growth of the Allegro Advertising ecosystem. Leading a specialized team of Strategists, this role departs from traditional, individual client pitching to focus on scalable market building. You will be responsible for defining category-level insights, co-creating product Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies, and shifting the market narrative towards retail media and advanced measurement. By bridging the gap between Product, Sales, and Communication, your team will equip the entire organization with the strategic blueprints needed to capture top-tier brand budgets.
-Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Media Strategists. Translate high-level business goals into actionable market-enablement projects, provide regular feedback, and build a high-performing culture focused on macro-strategy.
-Shift the strategic focus from individual brands to scalable solutions. Oversee the creation of category-wide insights, strategic blueprints, and data-driven narratives that empower the Sales team to unlock C-level budgets (e.g., CMOs).
-Act as the strategic liaison between Product and Sales. Co-develop GTM strategies for new advertising solutions (e.g., upper-funnel formats) translating technical capabilities into compelling, market-ready business value propositions.
-Drive the strategic understanding of retail media impact. Partner with measurement and analytics teams to integrate concepts like Brand Lift and Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) into our core market narrative.
-Work seamlessly with the Communication & Education Manager. Ensure your team’s insights are transformed into high-impact B2B content, and actively represent Allegro Advertising as a speaker and expert at key industry events.
-Actively participate in shaping the department’s long-term strategy, including strengthening strategic competencies for international expansion.
-Have 8+ years of experience in a media, product marketing, or market strategy role, with a deep understanding of the e-commerce and retail media landscape.
-Have 2+ years of proven experience in team leadership, talent development, and managing strategic workflows.
-Have a proven ability to step back from granular client briefs to design scalable, market-wide strategic frameworks and GTM plans which support the revenue budget.
-Are fluent in using key tools (Jira, Tableau, ad platforms) with a strong grasp of media planning principles, market research, and modern measurement frameworks (like MMM).
-Have exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear business narratives. Proficiency in English (minimum B2/C1 level) is required for international collaboration.
-Have well-established knowledge within digital advertising, serving as a go-to strategic advisor capable of translating high-level objectives into operational plans
