Primary Purpose:

The primary purpose of this position involves all phases of plant operations, problem solving, electrical integration, drafting/AutoCAD and providing engineering shop floor and project management support to the manufacturing departments. This position will report directly to the Technical Support Manager.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Providing shop floor and project support to the manufacturing departments as well as meeting quality and safety goals and efficiencies.
• Responsible for providing support to other areas of manufacturing as needed.
• Provide direct interaction with the QA Department, Purchasing and Accounting.
• Establish tolerances and machine specifications in their production areas.
• Demonstrating and using the knowledge of the latest technology trends to improve existing equipment within the manufacturing plant.
• Use Lean Principles to improve the existing equipment and production systems (VMM).

Secondary Responsibilities:

• Working with budgeting of capital and expense dollars for shop floor support and assisting with meeting department goals and initiatives.
• Assist in coordinating maintenance functions on project work.
• Maintain product routings in SAP. This would include allocations of part numbers, material usage, waste and labor.

Starting Base Monthly Salary: $7930 - $9915

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering is required.
• Three years strong technical background with mechanical/electrical experience in a manufacturing shop floor environment is preferred.
• Applied computer experience including AutoCAD and/or Solid Works is required.
• Experience in a company utilizing integrated software (SAP) is preferred.
• Applied computer skills are a must. Proficiency in Excel spreadsheet applications, Microsoft Windows applications, Power Point presentations and Lotus Notes is preferred.
• Applied experience in reading and interpreting product drawings and specifications is required.
• Applied knowledge of the latest technology trends to use in improvements to existing equipment is required.
• Current working knowledge of Allen Bradley (ControlLogix, SLC 500) software. (Some programming/design and troubleshooting experience preferred)
• Must have experience in a broad range of industrial electronics.
• Must have applied knowledge in industrial mechanics.
• Hydraulic experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, determine project urgency and create detailed action plans.
• Experience in working with expense/capital budgets is beneficial.
• Must possess good organization skills in planning and execution of projects.
• Must possess effective oral and written communication skills.
• Must possess a high degree of loyalty and personal integrity.
• The desire and ability to work in a manufacturing team environment and with employees from various levels within the organization.
• Ability to perform the essential functions assigned to the position.
