Job Description:

Main Purpose of the role

Operational managing a team of Customer Planners whilst also brining in functional expertise in complex solutions & system set-ups, maintenance and governance of complex supply chain customer engagements in regards to managing customer demand

Key Tasks / responsibilities:

  • Operationally lead a team of Customer Planners
  • Provide first level functional expertise in matters of system solution and set ups
  • Take a leading role in proactive management of customer forecast, prompting communication to the appropriate stakeholders when forecast is received triggering a review action
  • Support the team in driving timely resolution of open questions with the various business stakeholders, acting as a first level escalation step
  • ERP Forecasting Attribute Set Up/Maintenance
  • Help the team understand the more strategic view on customer engagements when reviewing customer engagements
  • Provide extended expertise for maintenance and fine tuning of system forecast parameters
  • Support to commercial teams in setup and maintenance of forecasting agreements
  • Reviewing forecast Holds and Exceptions in a timely & efficient manner and driving action from relevant stakeholders
  • Review and take action on Oracle Demantra forecast exceptions
  • Drive for customer compliance to forecast
  • Drive conversion of forecast to order, in the case of unplanned demand within lead-time
  • Allow forecasts into the supply plan in line with company goals & objectives and customer contract terms
  • Drive and take ownership of improving customer forecast accuracy & process
  • Drive, participate and provide additional input into customer reviews
  • Help the team and interpret customer demand changes to define clear actions for prevention of excess inventory before communicating with Asset and commercial teams to allow clean execution
  • Communicate potential service issues around forecast over consumption to Sales management in a clear and timely manner, especially in cases of escalation
  • Make use of the online workflow tool and drive timely execution of open tickets
  • Identify root cause to allow enforcement of customer liability and/or identify factors driving excess inventory to guarantee prevention
  • Drive and execute on closed loop activities;
  • Customer forecast accuracy dashboard
  • Unconsumed month to date forecast
  • Past due Forecast
  • Contract compliance
  • Aging forecast holds
  • Statistical vs. Customer forecast review

Experience / Skills

  • Knowledge of electronic component industry and relevant supply chain and manufacturing practises
  • Sound technical understanding of Arrow’s ERP system capabilities preferred
  • Very good MS Office skills (high level of proficiency in Excel is a distinct advantage)
  • Functional and structural way of thinking
  • Ability to understand complex processes and logic and to be able to interpret sometimes ambiguous data, received in a number of ways and to translate into a solution, using logic and solution understanding.
