Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Consultant

Responsibilities

As a Senior Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Consultant, you will be responsible for leading the functional aspects of complex ERP projects. Your key duties will include:

• Driving End-to-End Implementation: Taking ownership of the entire Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central implementation lifecycle, from initial business requirements analysis and solution design through to final production go-live.
• Solution Design & Optimisation: Designing and optimising the application, with a focus on core financial and accounting processes, to ensure alignment with the client's business strategy and operational efficiency.
• System Configuration: Performing advanced configuration and parameterisation of the Dynamics 365 BC system modules to accurately reflect and support the specific business needs of end-users.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working closely with the development team and other functional consultants to define, test, and implement new features, integrations, and necessary customisations.
• Client Enablement & Support: Providing high-level support to key users and conducting specialised training sessions to ensure a smooth adoption and effective utilisation of the new system.
• Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Creating detailed process documentation, functional specifications, and user manuals to maintain project quality and facilitate long-term maintenance.
• Pre-Sales Contribution: Contributing your expertise to the pre-sales process, including preparing solution proposals, participating in discovery workshops, and demonstrating product capabilities to prospective clients.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you should possess the following professional experience and skills:

• Proven BC Implementation Track Record: Demonstrated involvement as a Consultant or Lead Consultant in multiple full-cycle Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or Dynamics NAV/Navision) implementation projects.
• Functional Expertise: In-depth, practical knowledge of system configuration, parametrisation, and customisation across various core BC modules (e.g., Finance, Sales, Purchasing, Inventory, Project Management).
• Integration Experience: Practical experience working with Power Automate and developing robust integration strategies between D365 BC and other internal or external systems.
• Business Acumen: Exceptional ability to translate complex business requirements and challenges into concrete, scalable, and effective system solutions.
• Proactive Problem-Solving: A proactive and results-oriented approach to troubleshooting issues, optimising business processes, and seeking continuous improvement opportunities.
• Communication & Consultancy Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to confidently and articulately interact with clients and senior stakeholders.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is essential for project documentation and international collaboration.
