Team/Role Overview
Transaction Services, EMEA Head of Trade Matching & Settlements (Non-Aladdin)
The role will manage a team of circa 100 Trade Processing resources across the full life cycle of Securities and Cash processing and will report diectly into the Global Head of Funds Transaction Services.
Key responsibilities:
- Responsibility for all non-aladdin Middle Office trade processing activities and deliverables based in Warsaw. Provide the operational, process, quality and people leadership to ensure robust delivery of all services provided by Middle Office trade processing department within the Poland Citi Solutions Center
- Ensure department level compliance with applicable laws, regulations and Citi policies along with ensuring adherence to internal compliance standards across the department with regards to checklists, procedures, training etc.
- Record any issues and provide detailed escalations to the global head of Transaction Services as applicable
- Work closely with the Risk & Control Team to ensure Appropriate Controls in place for all processes and high risk areas/processes identified and corrective action put in place.
- Effectively lead the department in all people strategy initiatives – including talent selection, development and retention, VOE activities, communications, performance management;
- Run locally based management team meetings and ensure a quality communication strategy members is in place.
- Ensure Operations resources are aligned to support global/regional business strategy and client delivery;
- Driving the implementation of initiatives to continuously improve STP rates and productivity, including the use of Robotics, workflow and other innovative re-engineering techniques
- Ensure and champion a culture of working closely with the technology organization to determine product/process enhancements resulting in efficiencies for the middle office business.
- Ensure the department is effective in working with sales and product teams on any potential new clients for the business
- Ensure the department is effective in working with the change teams on strategic projects as required
- Participate in Client Service Reviews and Due Diligence Meetings as required.

Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in Finance / Investments / Trade processing background
- 10+ years of experience in people management
- Demonstrated strength in leading large operations groups
- Experience in financial planning, budgeting and forecasting
- Process and reengineering experience
- Product knowledge of Middle Office and Fund Administration
- Complex problem analysis and solutions expertise
- Experience in new business implementations and project management an advantage
- Experience in client delivery and operations required
- Exposure to all aspects of operations from trade capture through settlement and reconciliation.
- Demonstrated experience in operational process management
- Talent assessment, development, deployment
- Strong organization and decision making skills
- Able to resolve operational issues and business trade-off
- Expert level in communications
- Degree in Business, Operations Management, Finance, Accounting or related discipline
