Job Description - Payroll Specialist with Spanish (Fix Term)

We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of Spanish payroll, ensuring full compliance with local labor legislation, tax regulations, and Social Security requirements, as well as DXC internal policies and controls. The role works closely with HR, Finance, and other internal stakeholders to ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and high-quality employee support.

Role: Payroll Specialist

Location: Hybrid from Warsaw, Krakow, or Wroclaw

Duration: 1.5-year fixed-term contract, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and validate monthly payroll for Spanish employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ensure compliance with Spanish labor law, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and DXC policies.
  • Manage payroll elements including base salary, bonuses, overtime, absences, leaves, and terminations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll and employee data in payroll systems.
  • Respond to payroll-related employee inquiries in a professional and customer-focused manner.
  • Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for internal stakeholders.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing required payroll data and explanations.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related discipline (preferred).
  • Very good command of Spanish and English (B2), both written and spoken.
  • 2+ years of proven experience in Spanish payroll processing.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Customer-focused approach with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information in line with DXC standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard office tools.
  • Experience working with payroll and HR systems (e.g. SAP, ADP, Workday, EeTime, or similar) is an advantage.
