Plans, executes and track client facing projects across Acxiom’s Services. Projects can range from highly complex and large strategic solutions or transformations, to smaller consulting or CR engagements. Projects can include delivering with only Services resources, or include wider resources across Acxiom, IPG our partners or clients.
The Project Manager takes accountability for successful delivery of projects for Acxiom’s clients, completing projects within determined scope, quality, time and cost constraints.
KEY CRITERIA
- Has the skills and experience to lead large projects ($300k+)
- Very comfortable when client facing, including driving difficult communications to challenge senior sponsor expectations.
- Excellent preparation and presentation skills with a focus on a clear narrative and attention to detail.
- Empowers the team to deliver while maintaining oversight through setting robust project processes.
- Experience of leading with Marketing Technology or Advertising Technology implementations highly desirable. Specific technologies we use
- Customer Data Platforms (e.g. SalesForce, Bloomreach, TreasureData)
- Loyalty platforms (e.g. Antavo)
- Web Personalisation Platforms (e.g. Sitecore)
- German language skills desirable.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
PROJECT DELIVERY
- For their projects takes accountability for successful delivery of using Project Management principles.
- Initiating: Works closely with the pre-sales team that sold the project to capture clearly scope, assumptions, external and internal dependencies, risks, issues of the project. Builds trust with key stakeholders. Leads the assembly of the project team, the implementation of a project org chart and RACI, the scheduling and creating agendas for the necessary project meetings, the creation and automation of project reporting.
- Planning: Responsible for facilitating the production of effort estimations. Defines, organizes and plans project schedules to meet required project/program timeframes. Works closely with resource managers to ensure proper resource allocation to the project/program. Communicates the project schedule and the project plan to stakeholders.
- Executing: Comfortable concurrently managing more than one moderately complex, multiple phased projects with cross-functional, cross-organizational teams and/or outside vendors. Drives delivery through a balance of 1) creating the right structure for the team to succeed in, 2) empowering the team to deliver through their own accountability, 3) monitoring progress through data.
- Monitoring/Controlling: Captures, monitors and escalates risks including planning, analysis, response and control on a scheduled basis across all phases of projects/programs. Proven strong risk and escalation management as a primary management habit.
- Closing: Recognize and document process improvement opportunities. Responsible for ensuring all project close out activities are completed and documented.
PRE SALES MANAGEMENT
Supports the definition, implementation and maintenance of relationships, forums, processes and reports to smoothly manage Professional Services pre-sales engagements.
DEMAND & RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
Supports the definition, implementation and maintenance of relationships, forums, processes and reports to smoothly manage the allocation of Professional Services resources, and ensure required resource from other verticals (Customer Success, Engineering, IT, Product) or from our clients or partners are allocated to projects as required.
LEARNING & KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT
Supports the definition, implementation and maintenance of document and learning platforms for Professional Services to enable the smooth onboarding of new team members, dissemination of knowledge about Acxiom’s products and services, and the storage and retrieval of key documents.
KPI DEFINITION & TRACKING
Supports the Professional Services leaders to define, implement and maintain KPI tracking for Professional Services, and report these KPIs on reports or dashboards to an agreed cadence.
PRODUCT/ INDUSTRY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
Understands the competitive landscape from both a business and technical perspective. Understanding of Acxiom’s Product and Service offering.
CONSULTANT
Brings prior experience to organize and define work for complex or ambiguous situations. Provides consultation, training, and knowledge sharing to associates. Actively contributes to domain body of knowledge.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no direct reports, but may mentor associates across the business in Project Management skills and disciplines.
