Job Description - QA Automation Engineer

Join us at Playtika (NASDAQ: PLTK), where we're driven by the belief life needs play. We’re on a mission to deliver infinite ways to play using cutting-edge technologies like AI and machine learning to craft immersive experiences that connect, inspire and entertain millions of players worldwide.

From our start as a small mobile games company founded in Israel to our current position as a publicly traded company and industry leader, we continue to be a dominant force in interactive entertainment. With a diverse portfolio of award-winning, category-leading Casual and Social Casino-themed games, including nine of the top 100 highest-grossing mobile games in the US, we're setting the standard for excellence.

Our success story is co-authored by a dynamic team of storytellers, strategists, creators and data scientists who thrive on innovation. We are home of the best, advancing an inclusive culture that embraces our core values and reflects our agile DNA.

With a strong financial foundation, disciplined operations, unwavering player-focused approach and  relentless can-do spirit, we're well-positioned for sustained growth. If you're ready to join the driving force behind the evolution of interactive entertainment, we invite you to come play with us.

What you will do:

  • Own and evolve the project QA strategy: quality gates, Definition of Ready/Done, release sign-off criteria.

  • Lead manual testing for Unity client features: functional, regression, smoke, exploratory, and acceptance testing.

  • Build sprint/release test plans, define risk-based priorities, and ensure coverage of critical user flows.

  • Maintain QA artifacts and traceability: test cases, checklists, test scenarios, and requirements-to-tests mapping.

  • Coordinate QA team execution: task distribution, progress tracking, quality reviews, and mentoring.

  • Drive defect management lifecycle: triage, prioritization, root cause analysis, fix validation, and prevention actions.

  • Partner closely with Engineering, Product, Design, and Analytics to identify quality risks early.

  • Define automation scope and priorities, and guide implementation of client-side automation for Unity.

  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure reliable quality signals before release.

  • Track and improve QA KPIs: defect leakage, reopen rate, flaky tests, pass rate, and feedback cycle time.

What we are looking for:

  • 4+ years of experience in QA, including experience in a QA Lead (or senior-level ownership) role.

  • Strong hands-on experience in manual testing of client applications (Unity/mobile game experience is a strong plus).

  • Experience in automation testing (C# or another OOP language), including reviewing and guiding automation efforts.

  • Experience with CI/CD practices (TeamCity/Jenkins/GitHub Actions) and test pipeline integration.

  • Proven experience building test strategy and QA processes across sprint and release cycles.

  • Experience with release quality ownership: regression scope definition, go/no-go recommendations, post-release validation.

  • Solid test design skills: equivalence partitioning, boundary values, state transitions, and risk-based testing.

  • Practical experience with bug tracking and test management tools, as well as clear stakeholder reporting.

  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to align cross-functional teams on quality goals.

Nice to have:

  • Hands-on Unity automation experience for UI and gameplay flows (scene transitions, animations, addressables).

  • Experience testing live-ops content and frequent content releases.

  • Understanding of client-server contracts and end-to-end integration validation.

  • Experience with Unity client performance/profiling test practices.
