Back-end .NET Developer + SQL | Reporting team

Your job will be to develop a part of a distributed system that serves the hospitality industry. The system consists of many domain-oriented microservices developed under a few cross-functional teams. You can bring a smile on the faces of thousands of people working in hotels across the globe.

How we work - remote/hybrid work:

• Employees up to 50 km from the office (Katowice) - 4 times a month 
• Employees from 50 to 100 km from the office - 2 times a month
• Employees over 100 km - remote work 

You'll be responsible for:

• Being a part of transformation into enterprise-grade operational reporting solution
• Building scalable aggregated data strategy for analytical and reporting purposes
• Using advanced tools to optimize performance of SQL queries used in APIs and reports
• Consulting other team members in subjects related to SQL and database performance
• Working in collaborative and iterative software development process with agile team

• .NET 7/8
• PostgreSQL (incl. AWS RDS)
• Visual Reporting framework
• Kafka
• Kubernetes, Docker
• CI/CD (e.g. Jenkins/Gitlab)
• Linux, Windows

• Good knowledge of .NET 7/8 (C#11), Entity Framework
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL
• Good understanding and hands-on experience in database performance aspects
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are required
• Proactive attitude and continuous improvement
• Minimum 3-year experience in similar position and minimum 5 years of experience in IT industry
• Being an open-minded, proactive, communicative person

Nice to have:

• Experience in AWS RDS PostgreSQL, AWS Aurora and other AWS database-related technologies is a plus
• Experience in hospitality systems & familiarity with hospitality applications is a strong plus
• Passion for PostgreSQL is a very strong plus and would be helpful in day-to-day work
