Job Description - Senior PHP Developer

Das erwartet dich

Design, develop, and maintain web applications using PHP 8+, Symfony, and Laravel.
Write clean, maintainable, and testable code, following OOP, SOLID, TDD, DDD, and Clean Code principles.
Lead and participate in refactoring and replatforming initiatives for legacy applications, ensuring long-term maintainability and performance.
Collaborate with architects, product managers, DevOps, and QA engineers to deliver features from concept to deployment.
Build and integrate REST APIs with security, scalability, and performance in mind.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues across the stack.
Write and maintain unit, functional, and integration tests (PHPUnit, Codeception).
Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving our engineering standards.
Maintain and update technical documentation.

5+ years of commercial experience in PHP web development.
Strong experience with PHP 8+, at least one of the popular MVC frameworks (Symfony/Laravel/Yii), DDD, Microservices Architecture, and REST API.
Solid knowledge of OOP, SOLID, and Clean Code principles.
Proven experience in refactoring and replatforming large-scale legacy systems.
Hands-on experience with MySQL/MariaDB databases.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI preferred).
Experience with Docker and Git.
Strong understanding of software architecture and system design.
Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team.
Proactivity and a strong focus on continuous improvement.
Languages: Fluent in English (B2) and Polish (B2).

Nice to have

Experience with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript).
Experience with Agile/Scrum and eXtreme Programming.
Experience with queue systems
Knowledge of German language.
