Reporting Senior Analyst
Summary of the role:
The role oversees the accounting closing and reporting processes, ensuring accurate financial information under IFRS and Local GAAP for both internal and external stakeholders. It also acts as Business Process Owner for the global Close‑to‑Report cycle, supporting migrations, standardizing procedures, and improving end‑to‑end finance processes. Additionally, the position manages the Global Chart of Accounts, ensuring proper configuration, consistency, and support across all Amadeus entities.
In this role you will be responsible for:
1. Business Process Owner of Close To Report- Period End Close (CTR-PEC).
- Within the context of Global Finance Transformation program, collaborative role jointly with the Global Process Owner of CTR-PEC stream:
- - Collaborate in definition of global procedures ensuring they are met, being a reference for other CTR users in other Amadeus companies around the world.
- - Active participation in different companies migration, ensuring local needs are covered and GFT rules are properly implemented. Follow up of the different phases of the migration, including daily follow up for the first accounting monthly closings.
- - Jointly with Global Process Owners and Application Owner to coordinate CTR-PEC actions to ensure a smoothly migration. Assume a key role in solving migration differences jointly with the AO team.
- - Active collaboration in the continuous evolution of the program to be adapted to new needs and requirements as a full End-to-End process. Participate in coordination with other streams for a global improvement and to cover all stream needs.
- - Provide support to already migrated companies to ensure processes running smoothly and reporting deadlines are met. Active collaboration in the main level of support at Corporate Level jointly with AO team.
- - As part of the Corporate Control Tower function, the role ensures that all Close‑to‑Report processes are consistently designed, implemented, and executed across the Group. As Business Process Owner for corporate entities, this position oversees adherence to global standards, understands how processes operate in different companies, and reviews how they are executed in practice. A key responsibility is to ensure that all entities comply with the defined procedures, guaranteeing the quality of reported figures and promoting harmonization and operational consistency throughout the entire Group.
2.Accounting Closing and Reporting Process:
- To perform/supervise month-end closing activities in order to optimize department activity and to ensure report accurate information to internal (Group Accounting, Controlling, Investor Relations,...) and external parties (such are CNMV, Banco España, INE...):
- Supervise the accounting for treasury reconciliation (reconciliation and control of the open items in the General Ledger accounts, analyze the transitory bank and other general ledger account) and money market investments.
- Prepare the accounting and reporting for Natural Hedge, Interest Rate Swaps and other Derivatives both under IFRS, Local GAAP but also for Standalone and Group purposes.
- Review Financial Debt of the Company is properly posted and classified, understanding the new agreements reached.
- Account and control of the changes in investments and ensure monthly update of the status of the investment portfolio of the Company.
- Responsible of accounting of any equity movement (share based payments, share buy-back, changes in capital structure, treasury shares, …).
- Prepare the Financial Statements (Balance Sheet and PL) analytical review reporting on a monthly basis.
- Analyze the Spanish GAAP adjustments and the reconciliation from IFRS to SGAAP. To keep updated about changes in accounting or tax legislation.
- Preparation of Corporate Financial Statements / Reports (such as CNMV) and Annual Accounts for Spanish Companies (and Amadeus Finance BV) and any report required both internal and external parties in a timely and accurately basis, playing a critical role in the coordination of the preparation and in the identification of potential improvements according to the updated legislation.
3. Global Chart of Accounts (CoA).
- Play a Corporate role managing the Global Chart of Accounts.
- Define and keep updated Global Chart of Accounts: creation, extension and changes of accounts configuration.
- Ensuring a proper use of CoA as a global tool for all the companies, being the main reference for users.
- Key role in maintenance of Financial Statement Version structure both for IFRS (AMES) and for Spanish GAAP (ES01).
- Leading the coordination with other streams to ensure we are covering their reporting needs with CoA.
- Give support to all companies both for accounts needs and for Local GAAP financial statements needs.
About ideal candidate:
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Experience in accounting, financial reporting, or corporate finance roles.
- Proven experience in month-end closing, IFRS and Spanish GAAP
- Experience in global or multinational environments, ideally with shared service centers or centralized finance functions.
- Background in process ownership, finance transformation, or global process standardization is a strong plus.
- Solid understanding of treasury accounting, financial instruments (e.g., interest rate swaps, derivatives, natural hedge), and financial debt classification. I would remove this poin
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP highly preferred) and reporting tools.
- Advanced Excel skills; comfort working with financial data, reconciliations, and analytical reviews.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken). Spanish is an advantage.
