Securities & Derivatives Subject Matter Expert

Custody Transaction Management Department is currently looking to fill a subject matter role in one of Global teams that will be tasked with managing and implementing the incoming migration of our new Client. Embarking on this journey, you will run point on accommodating new activities that will be transferred into your team, quickly learning them up to the subject matter expert level, structuring a new and functioning process around them, and ensure their accurate and timely delivery.

Citi Custody is responsible for the safekeeping and servicing of equity assets of our clients. Being a custodian bank, we facilitate the settlement process of our client’s securities transactions, manage and process corporate actions as announced by the issuers of these securities, and assist our clients with capital gains tax payment and reclamation. Responsibilities:

• Process securities transactions in accordance with prevailing market/client deadlines and standards as well as internal procedures
• Accurate trade verifications of booking requests and ensuring STP (Straight Through Processing) settlement
• Prepare various reports for several stakeholders
• Align with Risk and Controls procedures for daily activities
• Complete pre-settlement tasks in timely manner with highest precision
• Coordinate transaction processing issues to the appropriate department and collaborate on a solution
• Build safe environment to test new solutions and encourage outside the box thinking
• Contribute to improvement of the quality and efficiency of assigned tasks and processes

Must-have requirements:

• 3+ years of relevant professional experience especially in security services preferred
• Basic SWIFT knowledge
• MS Excel expertise (vlookup, pivot tables), additionally preferred however not required: VBA
• Good command of English combined with strong communication skills allowing building long lasting contact networks within the organization
• Perfect organizational skills, ability to solve problems, making accurate and quick decisions, multitasking
• Persistence in seeking new and more optimal solutions, creativity, ability to learn quickly also through hands-on practice
• Risk awareness
• Readiness to work in a high volume, time sensitive environment
