It offers a rich, engaging feed of editorial content, short videos, games, and more – tailored to user preferences and seamlessly integrated into the native device experience. Built as a system app in partnership with global Telcos and OEMs, Aura News helps users explore and discover high-quality content as part of their daily routine.
About the role
Join the innovative and rapidly expanding Aura News team at Unity-Aura – a large-scale mobile platform shaping how users discover and consume content on Android devices. We are looking for exceptional and passionate Senior Android Engineers to join our growing team in Warsaw.
In this role, you'll work on a system-level application that combines native Android development with embedded web experiences. You'll help build and maintain a high-performance, content-rich product that is actively used by millions of users in the US. Our tech stack includes modern tools like Kotlin Coroutines and Jetpack Compose, and we continuously explore new technologies to improve product quality, user experience, and development efficiency.

Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in Android Development in Kotlin
- Quality first approach, you care for what you build
- Strong problem-solving skills coupled with high analytical abilities
- Proficient understanding of OOP concepts and design principlesFamiliarity with Google’s design principles and interface guidelines
- You have built Android applications that reached users at production scaleHands-on experience in multithreading, mobile memory management, and Restful APIs, showcasing a deep understanding of Jetpack components like ViewModel, Room, Coroutines, WorkManager, and more.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with system apps
- Working experience with Dependency Injection
- Experience with testing frameworks and best practices
- Contributed to open source projects
What you'll be doing
- Write code that is clean, scalable, and meets high-quality standards
- Build end to end products working closely with product managers and designers.
- Take an active role in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in Android development, incorporating innovative solutions and best practices into project workflows to enhance product quality and efficiency.
- Contribute to the Android team by actively participating in all development efforts, including the design, development, testing, and deployment of complex features.
