We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Azure Data Engineer/ Architect to join our customer's dynamic technology team in the welding and cutting industry(Lincoln Electric). ***4 WEEKS PROJECT***
Your responsibilities Act as Data "SME" for a global manufacturing company that has been at the forefront of innovation in our industry for decades
Lead efforts to continue to expand our operations and embrace emerging technologies
Contribute to our digital transformation journey, exploring the implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) solutions, including Chat GPT, to drive efficiency, optimize processes, and enhance decision-making across our organization
Develop and maintain robust data pipelines to ingest, process, and transform large volumes of structured and unstructured data from various sources, including production systems, sensors, and external APIs
Collaborate with data scientists and software engineers to deploy and integrate AI and ML models into our existing systems and workflows, leveraging platforms such as Chat GPT to enhance operational efficiency and decision-making
Design, implement, and optimize data warehouses and data marts to enable efficient storage, retrieval, and analysis of structured and semi-structured data
Ensure the quality, integrity, and security of data through the implementation of appropriate data governance practices, data cleansing techniques, and data quality monitoring processes
Develop and maintain scalable data processing frameworks and tools to automate data integration, data validation, and data transformation tasks
Employer requirements 5-7 years of experience in data management disciplines including (data integration, modeling, optimization and data quality)
A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, statistics, applied mathematics, data management, information systems, information science is required
At least 3 years of experience working in cross-functional teams and collaborating with business stakeholders in Data Engineering in support of a departmental and/or multi-departmental data management and analytics initiative
Strong experience with advanced analytics tools for Object-oriented/object function scripting using languages such as (R, Python, Java, C++, Scala, others)
Strong ability to design, build and manage data pipelines for data structures encompassing data transformation, data models, schemas, metadata and workload management
Strong experience with popular database programming languages including relational AND nonrelational databases
Strong experience in working with large, heterogeneous datasets in building and optimizing data pipelines, pipeline architectures and integrated datasets using traditional data integration technologies
Strong experience in working with both open-source and commercial message queuing technologies (Kafka, JMS, Azure Service Bus, Amazon Simple queuing Service)
Adept in agile methodologies and capable of applying DevOps and increasingly DataOps principles to data pipelines to improve the communication, integration, reuse and automation of data flows
