Senior DevOps Engineer (Voice AI Platform)

Our customer is a leading innovator in the voice AI industry, delivering customized conversational solutions to global brands across automotive, hospitality, telecom, and other industries. Their technology powers voice-enabled experiences that strengthen customer engagement while providing companies with full ownership of user data and interactions.

PROJECT

The project focuses on the development and optimization of the Autonomics platform — a highly available, multi-region infrastructure designed to support conversational AI services. The team is implementing robust DevOps practices to ensure seamless deployment, efficient scaling, and high system reliability across multiple geographies.

• Lead the transformation of the current single-region platform into a fully operational active/active multi-region architecture
• Design and implement intelligent user routing mechanisms to ensure optimal regional access and seamless failover in case of regional outages
• Deliver a robust and scalable multi-region solution within a tight 12-week timeline, ensuring uninterrupted business continuity even during disaster scenarios
• Apply deep expertise in high-availability, large-scale distributed systems, and complex cloud architectures
• Work exclusively with open-source technologies, including Kubernetes, Percona MySQL, OpenSearch, Cassandra, and Redis, to build and optimize the solution

• At least 8 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer with a proven track record of designing and delivering active/active, multi-region deployments
• Demonstrated ability to successfully execute complex projects within tight timelines without compromising quality
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, MySQL (Percona), OpenSearch, and Redis
• Expertise in setting up, managing, and optimizing active/active configurations in distributed environments
• Solid experience with automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines
• Over 5 years of hands-on experience with AWS
• Deep understanding of DevOps principles, Agile methodologies, and modern cloud architectures
• Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams and departments
• Proven skills in risk management, issue escalation, and rapid decision-making in high-pressure scenarios
• Experience with load testing, performance validation, and chaos testing to ensure system resilience across regions
• Proficiency in developing, maintaining, and verifying runbooks for operational readiness
• Experience with parallel development and phased implementation strategies
• At least an Upper-Intermediate level of English

Would be a plus:

• Deep knowledge of distributed systems theory, including CAP theorem and conflict resolution patterns
• Production experience supporting 99.9%+ SLA environments and designing robust disaster recovery strategies
• Expertise in data model design and adaptation for multi-region active/active deployments
• Strong background in network architecture design for cross-region topologies and capacity planning
• Hands-on experience implementing conflict resolution strategies in distributed systems
