We’re seeking a skilled and proactive Senior Expert Engineer to strengthen our solutions and drive meaningful improvements. You’ll collaborate across teams, provide technical guidance, and lead key initiatives in an innovative, growth-oriented environment aligned with business needs. 

Your day-to-day mission: 

• Drive the design, architecture, and implementation of scalable solutions, owning complex features and collaborating across teams to deliver robust, scalable systems.  

• Mentor engineers, supporting complex problem-solving and team growth. 

• Lead ideation workshops, shaping high impact ideas to improve product functionality and user experience.  

• Drive definition, estimation, and validation of complex multi-team requirements.  

• Anticipate dependencies, improve planning accuracy, and ensure predictable, high-quality delivery through strong technical judgment and collaboration. 

• Maintain production stability by leading investigations, delivering durable fixes, and proactively resolving systemic issues. 

• Promote and refine coding standards and best practices aligned with system requirements and business processes.  

• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance code quality and engineering effectiveness. 

What you need to have to succeed in this role: 

• Strong expertise in Java and object-oriented design 

• Proven experience building Java services and microservices 

• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized services 

• Strong knowledge of Spring Boot and modern backend development 

• Experience developing and supporting applications on Unix or Linux 

• Hands-on experience with Kafka and event-driven architecture 

• Experience with performance tuning and application reliability 

• Good understanding of BDD and TDD practices 

• Collaborative mindset with openness to peer review and feedback 

• Self-driven, reliable, and comfortable working autonomously 

• Strong command of English, both spoken and written.  

• Solid command of advanced Git workflows, testing and quality standards, ability to independently diagnose complex issues via logs/monitoring, and proactively apply secure coding and dependency best practices

• Expertise in Oracle data modelling and database design 

• Exposure to PL1 and IBM Mainframe environments
